Accounts Manager Job DescriptionAn experienced Accounts Manager is required to lead the day-to-day finance function within a busy construction environment. This is a hands-on, senior role, managing a small team while overseeing key financial processes including invoicing, sales ledger and credit control.
Accounts Manager Key Responsibilities Manage the sales ledger across multiple projects and clientsOversee invoicing, including applications and valuationsLead credit control activities to maintain strong cash flowWork closely with Quantity Surveyors and Contracts ManagersEnsure accurate billing aligned with project progressSupport month-end processes and reportingReconcile accounts and resolve queries efficientlyIdentify and improve finance processes and systemsTeam Management Manage and support 13 Accounts AssistantsAllocate workload and oversee daily tasksProvide training and ongoing developmentAccounts Manager Requirements Previous experience as an Accounts Manager or Senior Accounts professionalMust have a strong background in construction or property servicesSolid understanding of: Sales ledgerInvoicing / applicationsCredit controlExperience working in a project-based, high-volume environmentProven team management experienceStrong organisational and communication skillsExperience filing and submitting final Accounts is a desirable attribute though not essential.
