Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing plots from pre-plaster stage through to successful customer handover, ensuring every home is delivered to the highest possible standard. This role is ideal for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager who enjoys the finishing stages of housebuilding, has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in delivering homes that exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Site Manager in the successful delivery of a residential development
  • Managing plots from Stage 3 (pre-plaster) through to completion and handover
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely, on programme and to company quality standards
  • Coordinating subcontractors, finishing trades and material deliveries
  • Monitoring health & safety compliance and ensuring RAMS are followed
  • Conducting subcontractor inductions and site registrations
  • Managing customer choices, upgrades and specification changes
  • Producing and closing out defect lists throughout the build process
  • Liaising with Building Control and Warranty Inspectors regarding completions
  • Carrying out customer demonstrations and handovers
  • Supporting weekly progress reporting to senior management
  • Attending sales and build integration meetings
  • Covering Site Manager responsibilities during periods of absence
Criteria:
  • Previous experience within residential housebuilding as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman or similar site-based experience
  • Strong understanding of the construction process from first fix through to handover
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused approach
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid at Work
  • Scaffold Inspection qualification
  • NVQ Level 4 in Construction Management (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
