We are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Air Conditioning Engineer to join an established and growing business, covering commercial sites across Basingstoke and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a long-term, permanent position with a strong package and additional earning potential through the on-call rota. Air Conditioning Engineer Role Description You will be field-based, working predominantly within a 20-mile radius of Basingstoke, carrying out a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance across commercial air conditioning systems. Responsibilities will include: Planned preventative maintenance and servicing Reactive maintenance and fault finding Working on commercial air conditioning systems Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs Working on complex VRV/VRF systems Responding to out-of-hours breakdowns as part of a 1-in-6 on-call rota Maintaining excellent customer relationships and communication Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard The Package Up to £47,000 per annum, depending on experience Full-time, permanent employment Minimum 40-hour working week 1 week in 6 on-call rota Out-of-hours breakdowns paid at a minimum of 4 hours Overtime paid at 1.5x, 2x or 2.5x, depending on the circumstances Door-to-door travel paid for out-of-hours call-outs Predominantly local work within approximately 20 miles of Basingstoke Long-term opportunity with an established employer About You The successful candidate will: Live locally to Basingstoke Have a minimum of 2 years' field experience working independently on commercial air conditioning equipment Have strong experience with VRV/VRF systems Hold current F-Gas Certification Hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ Diploma (City & Guilds 6187) or equivalent Hold a full, clean UK driving licence Have strong commercial awareness Have a robust work ethic and excellent communication skills PASMA and IPAF certification is preferred, although not essential If you're an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer looking for a secure permanent position, predominantly local work and genuine additional earning potential, we'd be keen to hear from you.
