We are delighted to provide an opportunity to an experienced Project Manager to join forces with one of our most exciting clients within the Design and Build industry. The opportunity is with a family run company with over 40 years of D&B experience in the sports and leisure industry, working on high value leisure projects including the construction of swimming pools, fitness suites & studios, cafés and much more. Our client focuses on providing a total package, from the initial concept to the project delivery, working on projects valued from £5M to £50M. Their construction projects lay the foundations for key elements of society, focusing on long term positive impacts to communities, making their buildings sustainable, enjoyable and efficient.

The role is a full time, permanent role, prominently site based local to Farnborough, Hampshire with some flexibility for remote working.

Project Manager Duties:
  • Managing the Design Process: Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other design professionals, ensuring design information is accurate, complete, and aligned with project requirements, managing the design schedule and ensuring timely delivery of design documents, identifying and resolving design conflicts and issues, reviewing and approving design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicating effectively with the client, design team, contractors, and other stakeholders, managing client expectations and ensuring their satisfaction with the design and build process, facilitating communication and collaboration between different teams, organizing and leading design meetings.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks associated with the design and construction process, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, monitoring and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Budget and Time Management: Developing and managing the project budget, including design and construction costs, tracking project expenses and ensuring they remain within the allocated budget.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensuring the design and construction comply with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards, ensuring the project meets the required quality standards, overseeing the implementation of quality control procedures.
  • Construction Phase Management: Overseeing the construction process, ensuring it aligns with the design and project requirements, managing the construction team and subcontractors, monitoring construction progress and resolving any issues that may arise, ensuring a safe working environment on the construction site.
Project Manager Required Experience:
  • Construction Management / Build related Degree Desirable
  • Minimum of 5 years within a Project Manager role
  • Must have worked on Leisure and commercial Projects
  • Completed Projects valued from £5M to £50M.
  • Must have a strong understanding of design processes and relevant regulations
  • Flexibility to Travel to new sites. Stay always may be required at our clients expense.
