A well-established UK engineering and infrastructure solutions business is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team at its Head Office in Eastleigh. The organisation operates nationally and supports major projects across the water, environmental and industrial sectors, providing specialist equipment, manufacturing capability and technical services. With a long-standing reputation in the market and significant growth in recent years, the company continues to invest in both its operations and its people.
This role sits within the Pump Sales and Manufacturing Finance team and offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career within a dynamic and growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and develop customer and internal reporting, including monthly forecasts, actuals and KPI reports
- Provide accurate management information on the monthly performance of operational business units
- Assist with month-end processes, including journals, analysis and variance investigations
- Analyse performance trends and highlight significant variances or anomalies
- Support the maintenance and development of the financial forecasting and consolidation models
- Assist with preparation and reporting of the annual financial plan
- Ensure reporting deadlines are met and respond to queries from stakeholders
- Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis, reporting and project work
Criteria:
- Studying towards, or planning to study, AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a wider team
- Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise work effectively and adapt to changing business requirements
- Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
