An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Service Engineer to join the team, covering a South East patch including London and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs across a variety of commercial mechanical systems, ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems
  • Reactive maintenance and fault finding
  • Servicing and repairs of HVAC and heating systems
  • Working across commercial and residential client sites
  • Diagnosing system faults and implementing effective solutions
  • Completing accurate job reports and compliance documentation
  • Ensuring all work meets health & safety standards
  • Liaising with clients and site contacts professionally

Patch Coverage

London, Kent, Wider South East region (occasional surrounding travel required)

Working Hours & Overtime

Standard hours: 08:00 - 16:00 (site based)
Overtime payable before 07:00 and after 17:00
Call-out rota: 1 in 9 rotation (additional allowance provided)

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical / HVAC / Building Services Engineer
  • Strong background in commercial maintenance environments
  • Experience with heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
  • Ability to fault find and work independently
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Relevant industry qualifications (preferred/required depending on level), such as: NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or Building Services
  • F-Gas qualification (desirable/essential depending on scope)
  • Gas Safe (advantageous but not essential for all roles)
  • PASMA / IPAF (beneficial)
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
