A well-established, award-winning local housebuilder with over 20 years experience is seeking a hands-on Working Foreman to join on a temp to perm basis to support the delivery of high-quality, energy-efficient single-plot new build homes in the East Hampshire area. Known for exceptional craftsmanship, innovative construction methods, and a strong commitment to sustainability, this developer manages projects from early concept and design through to full build completion. Their work includes bespoke modern homes, advanced timber/steel frame construction and leading low-energy building standards, including Passive House-level performance.
Working Foreman Role Overview
The Working Foreman will play a key on-site role, combining practical trade skills with day-to-day supervision of trades and subcontractors to ensure homes are delivered safely, on programme, and to an outstanding standard.
Working Foreman Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside trades on daily construction activities
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure workmanship meets specification
- Maintain strong Health & Safety standards; deliver toolbox talks and enforce RAMS
- Assist with site reporting, progress updates, labour and material planning
- Troubleshoot build challenges and contribute to smooth project delivery
Working Foreman Requirements
- Proven experience on new build houses (essential)
- Hands-on trade background (carpentry, groundworks or multi-trade ideal)
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications (required)
