Mechanical Engineer required to join the team on a high profile site in the Basingstoke area, working for a specialist M&E contractor. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, preplanned and reactive maintenance on site.

Mechanical Engineer Duties:

  • Undertake fault finding on mechanical equipment
  • Ensure that cooling/heating systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
  • Respond to Building Management System alarms (BMS), and effect emergency repairs as needed
  • Work on the sprinkler system
  • Work on the fire alarm system
  • Perform lift entrapment duties once trained
  • Carry out major plumbing repairs and PPMs
  • Carry out all mechanical repairs and PPMs
  • Carry out PPMs on FCUs and AHUs
  • Carry out basic PPMs on all M&E tasks
  • Carry out remedial tasks for all M&E remedials
  • Carry out emergency light checks and fill in relevant paperwork.

Mechanical Engineer Desired Qualifications:

  • BTEC / HND / HNC / ONC / Degree
  • Electrical Apprenticeship
  • City & Guilds 236 Parts one & two
  • City & Guilds 2360 Levels one and two
  • City & Guilds 2367 part 1 & 2368 part 2
  • City & Guilds 2330 Levels two and three
  • City & Guilds 2357 Levels two and three
  • Any subsequent City & Guilds course used to replace 2357
