Contracts Manager – About Our Client
Our client is a specialist fit-out contractor with decades of experience delivering exceptional spaces across retail, hospitality, wellness and commercial environments. Their portfolio includes high-profile projects for well-known brands including H&M, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister and Louis Vuitton. Projects can involve complete strip-outs and refurbishments, structural alterations, M&E installations, bespoke joinery, shopfronts and high-specification interior finishes. They have experience working within challenging live retail environments as well as listed and heritage buildings, requiring careful planning, strong communication and excellent attention to detail. Contracts Manager – The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. The position will involve regular travel to projects, predominantly within Central London, alongside time working from the company's office in Hampshire. Contracts Manager – Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion
Take ownership of project programmes, quality and overall delivery
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
Maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the project
Monitor project progress and ensure key programme dates are achieved
Work closely with the commercial team to monitor costs and variations
Attend client, progress and site meetings
Carry out regular site visits, predominantly across Central London
Ensure high standards of health & safety are maintained
Identify and resolve potential programme or delivery issues
Ensure projects are completed to the required quality and specification
Support successful project handovers and close-out
Contracts Manager – About You
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong understanding of fit-out and refurbishment projects. Ideally, you will have: Previous Contracts Manager or Project Manager experience
Experience within retail fit-out, refurbishment or interiors
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong programming and organisational skills
Good commercial awareness
Experience managing subcontractors and specialist trades
Strong client-facing and communication skills
The ability to work within fast-paced project environments
A willingness to travel regularly into Central London
Relevant construction and health & safety qualifications
