Assistant Quantity Surveyor required to join a leading civil engineering contractor based in the Horsham area. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will ideally come from a civil engineering or groundworks background with some quantity surveying experience.
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be working with the Quantity Surveyor/commercial team managing the resources of a project lifecycle in order to ensure the success of the project outcome and maximise profit. Responsibilities include:
- Providing planning, provision, and monitoring of commercial support and assurance to the Project Manager and the project delivery team.
- Pursuing own professional development and providing guidance and support to develop other commercial staff.
- Showing competency in all commercial duties from contract negotiation to procurement, variations, valuations, payments, and final accounts.
