Team Overview

As well as being responsible for managing the company's finances and handling commercial agreements with new and existing partner companies, the Commercial teams at One Utility Bill focus on back‑office operational work, including but not limited to:

  • Being responsible for reconciling all closed packages
  • Creating reconciliation statements for our customers
  • Contacting utility suppliers to resolve billing issues
  • Auditing live packages, identifying issues and financial risks
  • Researching our competitors and completing an analysis on pricing
  • Identifying customer and supplier payments
  • Investigating banking transactions

What you’ll be doing

Working in our Commercial Operations department, you’ll provide the back‑end day‑to‑day support to our Finance, Operations and Customer Support teams. In this varied role, you will:

  • Fully reconcile packages that have ended & create a final balance statement, which will be shared with the tenants.
  • Audit and analyse all of our packages providing in depth analysis & reports
  • Locating and monitoring potential financial risks
  • Work closely with all of our partner suppliers
  • Carrying out research on our competitors and completing analysis on pricing
  • Make outbound calls to energy & water suppliers to ensure correct billing for all packages
  • Investigate banking transactions

The working hours for this role will be 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. This will be a fully office based position for the first 6 months during a probation period. Following a successful probation period, we offer hybrid working for up to 2 days per week.
