Defence One Tree Childcare - Coventry is seeking a qualified Room Leader for our 2-3 year old room. Our vibrant childcare centre in Southbank offers a nurturing and engaging environment for children.
About Coventry: This service is in the heart of Southbank, with a tram on your doorstep and parklands across the road. We are a small and cosy centre with only 50 children split across our long day care. Our opening hours are 7am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
Our Educators: Our talented, professional team takes inspiration from child-centred approaches when creating programs. Training, mentoring, support and coaching are all part of the deal.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and support a team of educators in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate programs that foster learning and development.
- Maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and centre policies.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to balance daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
- Proven leadership qualities and a collaborative mindset.
- Current WWCC VIC & National Police Clearance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- 2+ years experience in a Room Leader role within the Early Childhood sector.
- Be reliable and dedicated.
- A supportive and friendly work environment.
- 2 week closure at the end of the year.
