Salary: $87,653.80 (inclusive of all allowances/loadings + Worker Retention Payment), plus super

One Tree is a national not for profit offering early childhood education, out of school hours care, community services, registered early childhood training, and professional support.

Our remote services are in some of Australia’s most hard to reach underserviced locations.

Under the shade of boab trees sits One Tree Derby Children’s Service in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

This service is very connected to the Derby community and school, taking part in local festivals and providing a school readiness program in the final term.

You’ll join a service that offers a nursery, toddlers, and kindy room.

Along with out of school hours care and vacation care.

• Selection criteria
• Minimum one (1) year’s experience in a room leader role or above
• Experience in working in a remote community
• Strong knowledge of child development and theories relating to children’s learning
• Communication skills and ability to lead a team
• Evidence of having contributed to assessment and rating at meeting or exceeding level
• Develop and evaluate high quality programs for children in line with recognised frameworks
• Ability to advocate for children’s rights and role model positive relationships with children

The successful candidate must be able to act as the Responsible Person and Educational Leader.

Requirements

• Be eligible to work in Australia and willing to relocate to Derby
• Diploma in early childhood education/ACECQA approved equivalent or above
• Current WA Working with Children Card
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
• First Aid & CPR certificates or willing to obtain
• Foundations of Child Safety Training Certificate
