Are you a graduate ready to bring a little magic to the bath and beauty supermarket aisle? We are working with a York based company who are the UK’s No. 1 in children’s licensed bathing products. They have been the creative force behind brands like Spiderman, Nerf, SpongeBob, The Grinch, Peppa Pig bathing gift sets and more. They are now looking for a creative, yet extremely organised Assistant Product Manager to add to their team. This is an entry level graduate role with training from the outset!
The Role
As an Assistant Product Manager, you are the champion of your product portfolio. You will manage the full development cycle—from brainstorming the next big "gift" trend to seeing the final product launch at retail stores.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creative Innovation: Researching market trends and competitors to drive new product ideas.
- Creating a product concept – sketching out ideas and working with the graphic design team to make it come to life.
- Managing the cycle from product concept through to production.
- Liaising with QA on testing, and working closely with Sales and Operations as well as licensors.
- Sourcing suppliers, negotiating costs to meet margin requirements, and building detailed product specifications.
About You
We are looking for a team player who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment. You will need:
- A degree in Marketing/Product Design/Art/Fashion or related background.
- Confident in communicating with different audiences both verbally and in writing.
- Resourceful and self-sufficient – you will gain training but you need to take ownership of your products.
- You have a passion for innovation and can demonstrate a creative approach through your degree or experience.
- Attention to detail: this is an "admin-heavy" role requiring high accuracy and adherence to administrative processes.
- Exceptional organisational skills – there’s lots to keep track of!
- Resilient & Open: There is a "no-blame" culture where feedback is shared openly.
- A full and clean driving licence – you will be required to use the “pool” car for local market research trips.
- Full right to work in the UK (there is no sponsorship available).
In return you will gain the following:
- Salary - ÂŁ26,277.
- Holiday: 25 days plus Bank Holidays (increasing with service), plus your birthday off.
- On the job training with career progression.
- Work-Life Balance: Flexible hours and one day working from home each week.
- Occasional travel abroad as your career develops.
- The Fun Stuff: Regular team building like pottery making, axe throwing, cooking courses etc.
- Extra Perks: Private Medical Insurance, Life Insurance (4x salary), and use of a company holiday apartment in Yorkshire.
Location: York (One day WFH each week)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri
