How would you like to be part of a very successful Storage business in Harrogate ? Do you love love love customers? Are you open to a fixed term contract role for 10-12 months? (there may be other opportunities thereafter). In this role you would be working with a lovely Store Manager and one other Sales Assistant (there are no people management responsibilities) to provide accessible storage to both businesses and the general public. This is not your ordinary Assistant Store Manager position! This is a professional working environment and the organisation has an exceptional reputation. They really think about their employees and take on board feedback etc. In this role as Assistant Storage Manager you will be: * Providing a great customer experience both on the phone and face to face * Deputising for the Store Manager where required * Ensuring the store is performing well and creating a great customer experience * Part of a fun and motivated team who enjoy their working environment and colleagues * Following up on all overnight website enquiries and converting any prospects into storage customers * Daily checking of units making sure that all is secure * Administration associated with onboarding new customers * Opening and closing the store * Up-selling accessory items and converting any leads into customers * Chasing customer payments * Gaining customer reviews on your service * Making sure the storage facility is neat and tidy for your customers To be successful in this role of Assistant Store Manager you will need: * A confident personality with good customer facing skills * Experience in a sales/retail role (this is not hard sales but keeping customers happy and increasing sales is important) * Good sense of humour * Flexible approach to work * Have a responsible and self motivated attitude (and support the Store Manager) * Comfortable sitting at a desk doing paperwork as well as up and about moving around the store helping customers. It is varied! * To be physically fit * Able to drive and cover other nearby stores if required In return you will be working within a supportive management structure * Salary scale – £26k basic (plus £6k/£7k OTE bonus) – pro rata over the the fixed term * Career progression * 20 days holiday and Bank Holiday (rising by an additional day for each complete year of service up to a maximum of 25 days) – pro rata over the fixed term * Healthshield plan (covering medical needs) * Personal Pension Plan (contracting out option), * Life Assurance Scheme * Medical Cashback plan * Employee Assistance Scheme * Employee Discount Scheme on storage and packaging materials * Cycle to work scheme Hours – Total of 40 hours per week ( Mon – Fri working between the hours of 8.30am and 6pm on a split shift basis) plus Sat 10am – 4pm alternate weekends. (2 days off in the week if working a weekend)
