We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Metal Work Factory Assistant for a temporary 3 week position. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for painting metal components using brushes and rollers, as well as supporting general factory duties. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy factory environment while working as part of a friendly team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Paint metal components using brushes or rollers as directed
- Ensure surfaces are properly prepared and finished to required standards
- Assist with general factory duties including cleaning, organising, and moving materials
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times (wearing a mask and gloves at all times)
- Maintain tools and painting equipment in good working order
- Report any defects or quality issues to supervisors
- Help out in the workshops as and when required
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of painting techniques (brush/roller)
- Willingness to learn and work in a team environment
- Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Previous factory or manual labour experience is a plus but not essential
