Maintenance Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical
Witham | £35,000 PA | Mon-Fri 7am-16:30 | Permanent
Our client is a leading UK manufacturer, delivering high-quality products and innovative solutions to major projects across the UK and Europe.
Due to continued growth and investment, they are seeking an experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their modern manufacturing facility in Witham, Essex.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance support to production teams
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation faults
- Fault find on industrial machinery and equipment
- Assist with dismantling and reassembly of production equipment
- Carry out improvement works and scheduled maintenance activities
- Ensure machinery operates at maximum efficiency
- Call outs – Rotated within the team
- Some weekend working is required when there is machine downtime
Candidate Requirements
- Experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing/production environment
- Strong electrical fault‑finding skills
- Mechanical maintenance experience
- Knowledge of PLCs would be an advantage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to support operational requirements
Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma / NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 18th Edition qualification
- City & Guilds 2382
- Full clean driving licence
