Are you a target driven sales professional who thrives on building relationships and converting enquiries into bookings? We are looking for a motivated Travel Sales Consultant to join a growing team delivering exciting educational travel experiences in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sales experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new customer enquiries and manage existing accounts
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through exceptional communication and call management
- Create tailored tour proposals that meet clients’ educational and travel requirements
- Accurately cost travel proposals using internal systems
- Provide detailed information on accommodation, transport, destinations, and educational visits
- Liaise with internal departments to confirm travel, accommodation and activity arrangements
- Costing within budget and client payments are received
- Build long term client relationships to encourage repeat bookings
- Ensure a smooth handover of confirmed bookings to the operations team
- Conduct destination research to maintain up-to-date product knowledge
- Occasionally participate in inspection visits or tours to gain first-hand product knowledge
- Support online chat enquiries and social media engagement
- Contribute ideas for product development and marketing initiatives
- Assist with improvements to internal processes and procedures
- Occasionally travel within the UK and internationally
Experience we are looking for:
- Proven sales experience and target achievement
- Strong customer service and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work independently and within a team
