About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail‑focused Sub‑Assembly Stock Controller. This is a hands-on, dual function role that plays a vital part in keeping the workshop running efficiently by ensuring assemblies are completed accurately and stock levels are maintained. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills, learn new processes, and progress within a technical workshop environment. Key Responsibilities
- Sub‑Assembly
- Assemble parts and components in line with specifications and quality standards
- Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy and quality prior to release into stores
- Replenish sub‑assembly stock weekly to ensure consistent workflow and prevent shortages
- Stock Control & Stores Support
- Provide cover in the stores area during holidays, peak workloads, and busy periods
- Pick and issue parts and orders to workshop technicians
- Liaise with suppliers regarding parts orders and deliveries
- Carry out annual cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy and compliance
- Replenish workshop consumables to support day‑to‑day operations
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Fine hand skills with strong mechanical, electronic, or assembly aptitude
- Ability to follow method sheets and technical manuals
- Computer literate with the ability to enter and interpret repair or stock information
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Fluent in English
Desirable:
- Previous experience in repair, sub‑assembly, or stores/stock environments (Full training will be provided)
