We’re looking for a Minor Repair Technician to join a dedicated Endoscopy Workshop team, ensuring essential endoscopy equipment is repaired, maintained, and restored to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with fine hand skills, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to develop within a growing technical service environment. Full training will be provided, and international travel may occasionally be required for specialist courses.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out assessment, partial disassembly, repair, and functional testing on a range of endoscopic products
- Perform tasks such as air/fluid blockage removal, switch & wire replacements, and mechanism adjustments
- Ensure repairs meet quality standards and are completed within set timeframes
- Follow standard operating procedures, repair manuals, and method sheets
- Conduct ongoing inspection and quality checks using visual methods and specialist test equipment
- Use precision tools, adhesives, chemicals, and workshop apparatus safely and correctly
- Record repair details using PCs and relevant software
- Provide updates to workshop support teams
- Work in line with company Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Environmental policies
- Develop your skills on additional products and services within the department
Essential Skills
- Excellent fine hand skills (professionally or as a hobby)
- Ability to follow technical manuals or method sheets
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work as part of a team
- Computer literacy and confidence entering/interpreting technical data
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in mechanical or electrical repair/assembly
