The Opportunity
This is a high-impact Commercial Finance Analyst role focused on financial modelling, commercial insight, and strategic decision support. You’ll work directly with senior stakeholders across finance, operations, sales and business development, playing a key role in shaping long‑term contracts and business growth. Important: This is not an accountancy role. This is for commercially minded analysts who thrive in data, modelling and insight.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Financial Modelling
- Own and enhance advanced Excel‑based financial models
- Manage multi‑year forecasting models
- Ensure models are accurate, auditable, and commercially robust
- Commercial Analysis
- Deliver scenario modelling & risk analysis
- Support bid pricing and deal evaluation
- Challenge assumptions and influence decision‑making
- Contracts & Reporting
- Support financial performance of long‑term service contracts
- Update models based on contract changes and business plans
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insight
- Confidently challenge and influence stakeholders
- Work cross‑functionally to align financial outputs with strategy
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
- 2–4 years in a commercial finance / analytical role
- Expert‑level Excel skills (advanced formulas, modelling, data analysis)
- Strong understanding of P&L, cash flow, cost structures
- Pricing, margins & profitability
- Financial modelling (build & maintain)
- Scenario & sensitivity analysis
- Supporting bids, tenders, or business cases
Mindset
- Highly analytical and detail‑focused
- Commercially aware – you question everything
- Confident communicator who can push back with data
- Structured, organised, and deadline‑driven
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or another numerical discipline
