Our client, a leading provider of Managed Equipment Services (MES) to the NHS and private healthcare sector across the UK, is looking for a highly organised and proactive Service Support Buyer to join the procurement team. This fast‑paced and varied role requires excellent administrative, coordination and stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will support the procurement and performance management of service contracts, manage supplier engagement, and ensure the smooth operation of purchasing and service‑related processes within the business.
They will work closely with internal teams including EBME/Biomed, clinical operations, suppliers, and procurement colleagues to manage service contracts and purchasing activities efficiently and accurately. This role would suit someone who is detail‑oriented, confident managing multiple priorities, and experienced working within a busy office or procurement environment. A minimum of 3 years’ UK‑based office administration or procurement support experience is essential.
Responsibilities- Buying and performance managing service contracts as tasked by the Procurement Service Operations Manager.
- Managing the Purchasing inbox daily which includes EBME/Biomed service requests, queries, invoices and other tasks.
- Ensuring EBME service contracts are procured in line with requirements from engineering and clinical operations.
- Managing EMBE Service contract records.
- Working with the EBME Buyers or Pricing team to obtain quotes and engage with suppliers.
- Supporting EBME buyers to build supplier relationships and work with them to deliver measurable KPIs.
- Problem solving and managing stakeholders expectation.
- Assisting in project working, coordination and data management.
- Any other duties as agreed with Procurement Operations Manager and Head of Procurement.
- Proven ability to work successfully in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Organised with an attention to detail.
- Excel – intermediate level.
- Experience of working in a Procurement Environment – not essential.
- Experience of working with a complex database.
- Working towards CIPs – not essential.
