One to One Personnel are looking for a proactive and supportive Deputy Manager to help lead the day-to-day operations of a busy Day Centre. Working closely with the service Manager and Outreach team, you’ll ensure the service runs safely, smoothly, and in a person-centred way. You’ll provide strong on-site leadership, support staff through complex situations, maintain high standards of health and safety, and build positive relationships with partners and the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Day Centre operations, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-managed environment.
  • Lead and support Day Centre Operatives, volunteers, and cleaning staff.
  • Manage incidents, safeguarding concerns, and crisis situations confidently.
  • Coordinate partner services, activities, and visitor management.
  • Maintain health and safety compliance, building checks, and cleaning standards.
  • Oversee donations, stock control, and resource management.
  • Monitor service activity, quality, and operational standards.
  • Build strong relationships with partners and community stakeholders.
  • Provide cross-cover for outreach services and deputise for the Service Manager when required.

About You

Essential Experience

  • Background in support services with people who have multiple or complex needs.
  • Experience supervising or managing staff or volunteers.
  • Confident handling incidents, safeguarding, and crisis situations.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and operational compliance.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and psychologically informed practice.
