Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Officer to join their busy HR team within a well established educational environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised HR professional to support a multi-site organisation and contribute to the effective delivery of HR services.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring HR administration is completed accurately, confidentially and in a timely manner, while supporting employee relations, recruitment and compliance processes.
Salary
FTE £31,176 (Actual starting salary
£27,938 ), with performance based annual increments available.
Contract
43 weeks per year (2 of those weeks in Term Time)
Hours
37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00am–4:00pm, Friday 8:00am–3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records using the organisation's HR management system.
- Provide administrative support across employee relations processes, including disciplinary, grievance, probation and performance management cases.
- Prepare and update employment contracts and associated documentation.
- Support the implementation of HR policies relating to employee conduct, sickness absence, recruitment and other employment matters.
- Maintain recruitment documentation, including job descriptions, person specifications and standard HR forms.
- Administer new starter and leaver processes.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding, ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed in line with safer recruitment practices and relevant legislation.
- Provide professional HR support to managers and employees across multiple sites.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent HR qualification.
- Previous experience in an HR role
- Good understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience using HR or Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
