A leading and growing hedge fund is expanding its fund finance team with a newly created position in product control and valuation control.

About the Role

Our client seeks a qualified accountant with a keen eye for detail and experience in product control, ideally within credit products.

Responsibilities

• The product and valuation control function within fund finance is responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy across all the firm’s investment positions.
• Ensuring the firm has robust controls in place for valuation and P&L recognition.
• More specifically, being able to explain and substantiate P&L movements.
• Validate valuations across positions and ensure correct accounting treatment.
• This role will play an important part in achieving these goals.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant.

Required Skills

• Experience in product control.
• Experience ideally within credit products.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in an investment bank or in a hedge fund.
