A growing alternative investment firm specialising in fixed income and credit is seeking an Operations Analyst to join its team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to gain broad exposure across a fast-paced investment management business while contributing to the continued growth of the platform. This is a full-time position based in London, with hybrid flexibility available one day per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform T0 and T+1 trade, cash, and position reconciliations
- Work closely with prime brokers, fund administrators, and counterparties to resolve breaks and maintain efficient operational workflows
- Manage corporate action elections and related processes
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of operational infrastructure and portfolio management systems
- Monitor cash balances and margin requirements
- Assist with daily P&L production and monthly NAV processes
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate processing of trading activity
- Support FX hedging activities for share classes
- Assist with treasury-related operations
- Contribute to compliance, risk management, and process improvement initiatives
Candidate Requirements
- 5-7 years’ experience in operations, middle office, or a related function within a hedge fund, asset manager, proprietary trading firm, or investment bank
- Strong understanding of fixed income, bonds, and IRS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; VBA or other programming experience is advantageous
- Highly organised with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a lean, high-performing team
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
