We are working with a leading London-based hedge fund looking to hire a Finance & Business Management Director to work directly alongside the COO. This is not a traditional finance role. The successful candidate will effectively operate as the COO’s senior deputy across the corporate side of the business – taking ownership of a broad range of finance, commercial, operational and strategic projects and helping drive them from idea through to execution.
The remit is deliberately broad and will include:
- Strategic finance, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis
- Corporate projects and business improvement initiatives
- Partner firm economics, revenue-share arrangements and onboarding
- Risk, controls and regulatory capital considerations
- Working across Finance, Legal, Compliance, Technology and Operations
- Providing the COO and senior leadership with clear commercial insight to support decision-making
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong post-qualification experience who has developed beyond pure accounting into a broader commercial/business management capacity. Ideally you will have worked within a hedge fund, investment manager or similarly sophisticated financial services environment, be comfortable operating with senior stakeholders and have the ability to move seamlessly between the detail and the bigger picture.
It’s a genuinely interesting opportunity for someone who wants to be at the centre of how an investment business operates and evolves, with significant exposure to the COO and senior leadership.
