Our client, a leading financial services firm based in London with a global footprint, is looking for an ambitious, tech-forward Finance Analyst to join the dynamic team. The Finance team is a lean, high-performing group of professionals dedicated to driving financial excellence, managing global entities, and supporting strategic growth.

The Role

As a Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day corporate finance operations, financial reporting, and process optimization. This hands-on position offers deep exposure to management accounting, budgeting, and financial technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, review external bookkeeping workflows, and analyze performance against budgets for key expense accounts.
  • Core Accounting: Manage inter-company invoicing, reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and the end-to-end employee expense and corporate credit card process.
  • Accounts Payable: Process corporate invoices using our internal accounting platform, secure approvals, and coordinate timely payments with external payment agents.
  • Tax & Compliance: Execute day-to-day tax compliance tasks, manage tax withholding statements, and ensure strict adherence to internal controls.
  • Budgeting & Planning: Partner with leadership during the annual budgeting process, drafting forecasts for key expense categories.
  • Innovation & Ad-Hoc Projects: Identify process inefficiencies, leverage modern tools to automate workflows, and support senior management on strategic financial projects.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: University degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a highly quantitative field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role is ideal. High-caliber graduates with relevant internship experience and a strong desire to learn are also encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is essential. Practical knowledge of modern ERP/bookkeeping systems (such as SAP) or technical tools (VBA, Python) is highly advantageous.
  • Tech Curiosity: A strong interest in exploring AI tools and emerging technologies to optimize finance workflows.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and top-tier written and spoken English communication skills. You must be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
