We’re looking for an Infrastructure & Network Engineer to join our Technology team supporting One Stop’s core IT infrastructure across our datacentre and cloud environments. This is a hands‑on, technical role supporting both day‑to‑day operations and delivering infrastructure projects across networking, servers, and virtualisation platforms. You’ll work closely with the infrastructure team to maintain a reliable, secure, and scalable environment supporting our stores, distribution sites, and support centre.

Support and maintain core infrastructure:

  • Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Manage Microsoft 365 / Entra ID environments
  • Maintain server hardware (Dell, SuperMicro) and storage (SAN, NAS)
  • Investigate and resolve incidents and escalations
  • Work with internal teams and third parties to troubleshoot issues
  • Support network infrastructure (Cisco switching – Core, Access, Datacentre)
  • Maintain firewalls and network security controls
  • Assist with firmware upgrades and network changes
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Support Nutanix and Hyper‑V platforms
  • Assist with patching, upgrades, and platform maintenance
  • Monitor performance and capacity
  • Ensure platform availability
  • Support delivery of infrastructure projects (upgrades, migrations, new tech)
  • Assist with network refreshes and platform implementations
  • Work alongside Infrastructure Manager and Solutions Architect
  • Ensure minimal disruption during delivery
  • Support patching and vulnerability remediation
  • Maintain secure, best‑practice‑aligned systems
  • Assist with security alerts and risk response
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security team
  • Follow ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
  • Participate in out‑of‑hours support and maintenance
  • Maintain clear system and change documentation

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in an infrastructure or technical support role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Azure / Entra
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (switching, VLANs, basic routing)
  • Experience supporting live production environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport (travel to sites required)
  • Experience with Cisco networking (switching, firewalls)
  • Knowledge of virtualisation platforms (Nutanix, Hyper‑V)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or hybrid environments
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools (SCCM, Intune, ManageEngine)
  • Exposure to infrastructure projects or migrations
  • Relevant IT degree or equivalent experience
  • Industry certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNA, Nutanix, Microsoft) are advantageous
