We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance. The customer is at the heart of everything we do. You will constantly look for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe environment for all.

You will be Responsible For:

  • Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural, great service.
  • Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
  • Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
  • Practicing safety in all tasks, following training and policies.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
  • Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and adhering to policies.
  • Clocking in and out accurately for proper pay.
  • Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment where available.
  • Following the ‘think 25’ policy when serving age-restricted products.
  • Responding to assistance calls and explaining actions to customers.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
  • Potentially running shifts in the absence of managers.
  • Following all training to ensure safety and legality.
  • If applicable, managing post office operations, including passing background checks.
