Job Description
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
You will help ensure the store remains a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
- Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural and great service.
- Encouraging customers to give feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
- Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
- Practicing safety in all tasks based on training.
- Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
- Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
- Clocking in and out at shifts’ start and end for accurate pay.
- Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment to keep everyone safe.
- Following the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
- Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts, explaining actions to customers.
- Keeping aisles clear, tidy, and organized.
- Occasionally managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
- Following all training to ensure safety and legality.
- If applicable, managing daily operations of the Post Office and passing necessary background checks.
