Join to apply for the One Stop – Customer Service Assistant role at One Stop Stores Ltd. We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same. You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance. The customer is at the heart of everything we do, and you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, the store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
- Know my customers and serve them with passion and pride, providing natural service.
- Encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the “have your say” survey.
- Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
- Apply training to ensure we work safely and to policy.
- Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand store performance and the part I play to deliver profit.
- Live our values, make everyone feel welcome and follow our policies.
- Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
- Keep yourself, colleagues and customers safe by following security procedures and wearing safety equipment where available.
- Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products to all customers.
- Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts, explaining what you are doing to the customer.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organized workspace; keep aisles clear of congestion.
- May be required to run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
- Follow all training to keep yourself, others, and the store safe and legal.
- If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include day-to-day operations of the post office and you may be required to pass a Post Office background check; if checks fail, the offer may be withdrawn.
