Overview
One Stop Stores Ltd is hiring a Customer Service Assistant based at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, serving customers with passion and pride.
- Stock shelves, replenish stock and maintain the store’s appearance.
- Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet the needs of our customers.
- Apply training to ensure tasks are completed safely.
- Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Understand store performance and the role you play in delivering profit.
- Be yourself, live our values, make everyone feel welcome and follow our policies.
- Clock in and out at the start and end of your shift to ensure accurate pay.
- Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep yourself, colleagues and customers safe.
- Follow the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
- Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts, explaining actions to customers.
- Keep aisles clear and maintain a clean, tidy and organised store.
- May be required to run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager.
- Follow all training to keep yourself, others and the store safe and compliant with the law.
- If the store has a Post Office Local, duties will include day-to-day Post Office operations and you may need to pass a background check; if checks fail, the job offer may be withdrawn.
