Position Summary
Oceaneering is seeking a Senior Multi Disciplined NDT Technician based out of Southampton, UK, within its Integrity Management and Digital Solutions (IMDS) division.
The candidate will execute advanced NDT methods, maintain testing compliance with client specifications, conduct risk evaluations, and produce accurate technical reports for asset integrity scopes.
Responsibilities
- Perform appropriate non-destructive testing methods (UT, PT, MPI) on industrial assets and structural components.
- Ensure safety policies, risk assessments, and Take II procedures are strictly followed prior to starting inspection work.
- Execute pre-inspection equipment functional tests and report instrument defects to supervisors.
- Evaluate inspection indications against statutory rules, codes, and client specifications.
- Author comprehensive technical inspection reports outlining methods used, findings, restrictions, and high-density flaw areas.
- Manage assigned tasks efficiently to meet client deadlines and changing operational priorities.
- Adhere to corporate Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) systems.
Qualifications Requirements
- Valid PCN Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing 3.1 certification.
- Valid PCN/SNT Level 2 Dye Penetrant (PT) certification.
- Valid PCN/SNT Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Standard pass in GCSE/Standard Grade English, Maths, and Science.
- Proficient with computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, People Soft).
Preferred Qualifications
- SNT Level 2 Thickness, Lamination, and Corrosion Monitoring.
- Experience in Positive Material Identification (PMI) and Hardness Testing.
