Bilfinger UK is seeking an experienced Rope Access Level 3 NDT Team Leader to work on an ad-hoc basis. This role involves leading NDT operations across multiple onshore and offshore assets, requiring a highly skilled technician capable of performing rope access tasks in challenging environments. The ideal candidate will be IRATA Level 3 certified and hold PCN or CSWIP Level 2 qualifications in Ultrasonic Testing, with proven experience in inspection leadership and offshore safety compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead rope access NDT inspection teams onshore and offshore, ensuring safety and compliance with client and regulatory standards.
- Perform and oversee Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspections (minimum PCN/CSWIP 3.1, 3.2).
- Accurately interpret, evaluate, and document NDT results.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior technicians on-site.
- Coordinate with operations and management teams to execute inspection scopes effectively.
- Maintain Bilfinger's safety, quality, and performance standards throughout projects.
- Ensure compliance with all offshore survival and operational certifications.
- Communicate findings and technical results clearly to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- PCN / CSWIP Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing (minimum 3.1, 3.2)
- IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Certification
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
- BOSIET/FOET, UKOOA Medical, MIST, EBS, and First Aid certifications
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
- Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI)
- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Pulsed Eddy Current experience
- UT 3.7, 3.8, 3.9
