The NDT Level II Technician is responsible for performing inspections using Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), including initial interpretation, reporting, and billing. The technician is expected to have a thorough understanding of NDT methods and provide guidance and on-the-job training to Assistant Technicians while ensuring compliance with applicable specifications and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate tools and equipment to complete assigned inspection tasks in accordance with client requirements.
- Inspect and interpret readings in real time to identify areas of interest.
- Apply testing criteria based on applicable specifications and standards.
- Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
- Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results through formal reports.
- Support and guide Assistant Technicians through on-the-job training.
Qualifications:
- NDT Level II certification in MT and PT (required).
- Additional certification in RT or UT (preferred).
- NAS 410 / NADCAP experience (preferred but not required).
- Technical background in NDT methods and techniques (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (highly desirable).
- Minimum 2 years of NDT experience with documented training and certification.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
- Must meet company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for insurance coverage.
- Preference for local candidates.
