The NDT Level III Consultant / Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality consultancy, training, examination, and certification services in nonâdestructive testing and materials evaluation methods. The role involves supporting client compliance with industry standards through audits, developing training programs, and maintaining certification processes while contributing to technical excellence and continuous improvement in NDT practices.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Level III consultancy services, including conducting onâsite audits and ensuring client compliance with industry standards.
- Document audit findings and prepare clear, detailed reports with recommendations.
- Develop and deliver training programs aligned with certification schemes such as SNTâTCâ1A, EN 4179 / NAS 410, or PCN.
- Create and manage examination materials, including master sample reports and exam questions.
- Mark examinations and maintain consistency and integrity across certification schemes.
- Develop and approve NDT procedures, written practices, and techniques in compliance with industry standards.
- Respond to client enquiries related to NDT consultancy and training.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver training sessions at company and client facilities in the UK and internationally.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate training and certification records.
- Collaborate with internal and external NDT professionals to enhance training content.
- Support business development by maintaining client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Participate in continuous professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications:
- Extensive industrial NDT experience with strong subject matter expertise.
- Minimum of two EN4179/NAS410 Level III certifications (preferably including one volumetric method).
- Ability to deliver technical solutions and assume responsibility for client NDT facilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to teach complex technical concepts.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written communication skills for technical documentation and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems.
- Willingness to upgrade certifications and learn additional NDT methods.
Requirements:
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, including overnight stays.
