The role involves executing inspections using certified NDT methods while ensuring high standards of data accuracy, client satisfaction, safety performance, and quality. The NDT/NDE Technician is responsible for performing non-destructive testing and inspection services at various client sites and locations. The technician demonstrates professionalism in the field and contributes to maintaining asset integrity across multiple industrial sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing using certified methods in accordance with TEAM procedures, client specifications, and applicable industry codes.
  • Accurately interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results using appropriate forms, digital systems, or reporting platforms.
  • Supervise and guide NDT Assistants and support personnel during field operations.
  • Calibrate and operate NDT equipment and related tools safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate with project managers and clients regarding job scope, access, and inspection results.
  • Maintain detailed and timely records including inspection reports, time sheets, and safety documentation.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety practices where applicable, including dosimetry use and area barricading.
  • Adhere to TEAM’s Life Critical Expectations and all site-specific safety protocols.
  • Uphold industry codes and TEAM standards of professionalism, integrity, and quality.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other required site access credentials.
  • Ability to provide documentation supporting one or more TEAM Level II qualifications or certifications in accordance with TEAM’s written practice and certification schema.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate results to peers, clients, and supervisors.
  • Ability to travel, work extended hours, and operate in field environments including confined spaces, elevated work areas, and extreme weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multiple NDT Level II certifications or ASNT, PCN, or CGSB equivalencies.
  • Advanced certifications such as API 510, API 570, API 653, CWI, AMPP, or equivalent.
  • Radiation Safety Training, IRRSP, or State Industrial Radiographer Card where applicable.
  • Familiarity with digital reporting systems or NDT data software.
  • Experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline projects, or fabrication shops.
  • Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maneuver in refinery or plant environments, including accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Adequate communication ability including speech and hearing to interact effectively.
  • Adequate vision and observational ability to support inspection tasks.
  • Manual dexterity required for field and documentation activities.
  • Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
  • Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor environments with high noise levels.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative schedules.
