The ANDT Trainee Technician will be part of the IMDS Wales branch, supporting onshore and offshore projects across the UK and globally. The technician will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to projects across industries such as oil & gas and power generation.
Responsibilities:- Assist senior technicians in performing non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections and analyses.
- Learn and apply various ANDT / IMDS techniques.
- Collect and document inspection data accurately in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining inspection reports and documentation.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe on-site operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with health and safety protocols.
- Assist in calibration and maintenance of ANDT equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Stay updated on advancements in ANDT technologies and best practices.
- Full UK driving license.
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
- Proficiency in report writing and effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel, and AutoCAD.
- HND or Honours Degree in an associated Engineering discipline (preferred).
- One year of experience or training with an inspection organization (advantage).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry practices.
