The NDT/NDE Technician is responsible for performing non‑destructive testing and inspection services at various client sites. The role requires applying certified NDT methods, ensuring accurate data interpretation, maintaining safety standards, and delivering high‑quality inspection results. The technician is expected to demonstrate professionalism, technical competence, and adherence to industry codes while supporting client satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nondestructive testing using certified methods in accordance with company procedures, client specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results accurately.
  • Supervise and guide NDT Assistants and support personnel during field operations.
  • Calibrate and operate NDT equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate with project managers and clients regarding job scope and results.
  • Maintain detailed records including reports, time sheets, and safety documentation.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety practices where applicable.
  • Follow company safety standards and site‑specific protocols.
  • Uphold professionalism, quality standards, and integrity in all operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • NDT certifications in one or more methods (RT, MT, PT, UT, VT, etc.).
  • Multiple Level II certifications or equivalent (ASNT/PCN/CGSB preferred).
  • Advanced certifications such as API 510/570/653, CWI, AMPP (preferred).
  • Radiation safety training or radiographer certification (if applicable).
  • Familiarity with digital reporting systems or NDT software.
  • Experience in industrial environments such as refineries, petrochemical plants, pipelines, or fabrication shops (preferred).
  • Industry safety certifications such as TWIC or OSHA 10/30 (preferred).

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, or other site access credentials.
  • Ability to provide documentation for Level II qualification per company standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours, including weekends.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions.
  • Strong work ethic with a safety‑first mindset.
