We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Hospital Porter to join our Patient Services team based in Hemel Hempstead. You will join us on a bank basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive hourly rate.

About The Role
- To work as a part of the Multidisciplinary Team in supporting the delivery of safe, caring, and efficient service to all patients.
- To assist the clinical and non-clinical teams with portering requirements in a professional and friendly manner as and when required.
- To assist the clinical and non-clinical teams with the safe transfer of patients within the hospital.
- To act as ‘Designated Porter’ for the safe management of medical gases.
- To act as ‘Designated Porter’ for the safe management of Sharps and Clinical Waste in all clinical areas.
- To act as ‘Designated Porter’ for the safe and efficient management of Linen i.e., distribution and collection and ensure that Linen storage is always organised and tidy.
- To have a flexible approach when undertaking a wide range of routine and non-routine tasks, and to be able to work confidently and competently unsupervised.
- To be responsible for removing clinical waste from all clinical areas as per policy and keeping the waste segregation areas clean and tidy.
About You
- Good standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy.
- Previous experience as a porter in a healthcare environment.
- Clear communicator.
