Based near Sevenoaks, northwest Kent, our small office team needs to increase its capacity in financial administration and is seeking someone to do the 'bread-and-butter' accounts functions. This role would require one day per week and be office-based. It is recognised that the role may initially need to be performed from home due to the current pandemic.

The office team functions in the support role of a much larger team of missionary personnel, mostly overseas. Essentially the role would be processing the monthly bank statement to ensure that all donations and payments are recorded on Sage. This is done by manipulating finance data in Excel, and uploading to Sage. This also involves ensuring all donations are recorded against the donor on thankQ CRM. The task ensures bank reconciliation is completed each month.

The role includes keeping the CRM up to date, thanking donors, and creating monthly reports for our mission personnel. Training given, but our desire would be to find someone with experience with thankQ CRM, Sage and Excel or similar software programmes and with experience of these types of operations within a Christian charity.

Due to the need to relate to church leaders and personnel and other Christian individuals from various denominations, take part in team prayer times, maintain security of mission personnel, and understand the context of the charity, being an evangelical Christian is a genuine occupational requirement of this employment.
