LEAD INSTRUCTOR in Merthyr Tydfil

Hours per week: 37.5 (including some shift patterns with evening and weekend working required)

Salary: £26,750 per annum

Contract Term: Permanent, Subject to satisfactory references, an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS) Check and a 5-month probationary period

Location: Summit Centre, South Wales

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Instructor to join our leadership team and play a key role in delivering high-quality outdoor activities at Summit Centre. Working closely with the Chief Instructor and Senior Instructor, you will take on significant responsibility for the day-to-day planning and delivery of the centre’s activity provision.

As a valued member of the instructor leadership team, you’ll also play an important part in upholding and communicating our Christian ethos, mission, and vision to both staff and guests.

Essential Qualifications:

• Climbing Wall Development Instructor (CWDI) or Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI)
• Paddlesport Leader or Paddle UK moderate water leadership award in either Canoe, Kayak or SUP
• Mountain Leader (ML) - Summer or Cave Leader
• A valid 16-hour outdoor first aid certificate is also required.
