Apprentice Staff Worker – Friends International
Friends International is seeking an Apprentice Staff Worker to support our ministry in Birmingham. The role will involve frontline ministry with international students, mobilising and training volunteers, liaising with churches and organising events and activities.
Responsibilities
- Frontline student ministry engagement and discipleship support
- Mobilise and train volunteers for student outreach and events
- Liaise with local evangelical churches and partner organisations
- Plan and organise student events, activities and outreach initiatives
- Assist in fundraising and network development to support financial costs
Qualifications
- Passionate about intercultural mission with experience building relationships across cultures
- Foundational evangelism and discipleship experience or skills, keen to learn and grow in ministry
- A team player capable of taking some leadership responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Self‑disciplined and able to manage a personal schedule
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Proficient English communication skills
- Committed to the life of a local evangelical church
- Willing to actively seek funds through financial partners (churches and individuals)
Hours and Salary
Full‑time (35 hours per week).
Salary: £22,222 p.a. pro rata. With training and support, the post holder will raise the costs of salary, employment, training and work‑related costs by developing a network of personal prayer and financial partners (churches and individuals).
