We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in a major High Street brand on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

As a Cafe Supervisor, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work.

  • Health, Safety & Food Safety
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained throughout every shift.
  • Lead by example and ensure all colleagues work safely and follow company procedures.
  • Ensure Food Safety standards are maintained at all times, including temperature checks, cleaning schedules and allergen controls.

  • Report equipment faults that could affect food safety or colleague/customer safety.
  • Operational Standards
  • Complete or oversee all required brand logs, records and daily routines.
  • Ensure the unit is maintained to brand standards and is audit ready at all times.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures, ensuring the unit is left secure and compliant.
  • Place orders as required and check deliveries are received, stored and recorded correctly.
  • Monitor stock rotation, date coding and product quality, removing any out-of-date stock and recording waste correctly.
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead the shift and allocate duties effectively.
  • Support the induction and training of new colleagues.
  • Coach and develop Baristas/CSAs to achieve brand, food safety and customer service standards.

  • Ensure every customer receives excellent service.
  • Encourage proactive customer engagement.
  • Drive sales through effective upselling.
  • Review and support customer experience measures including NPS and Mystery Shopper results.

  • Ensure all Profit Protection procedures are followed.
  • Complete safe counts, till checks and cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure lockers and personal belongings comply with company policy.
  • Follow colleague search procedures where applicable.
  • Maintain key security and report suspicious activity immediately.

  • Maintain knowledge of current brand standards and updates.
  • Escalate customer complaints, accidents, incidents and near misses promptly.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour at all times.
