Are you a commercially focused finance professional ready to make a real impact? We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team, based predominantly at our Head Office in Parklands, Birmingham, with occasional travel to London and regional sites as required. This is a high-profile role where you will be financially responsible for two key healthcare contracts within the Healthcare Portfolio, managing a combined annual turnover of around 35 million. You will act as a trusted business partner to the Contract Director, supporting operational decision-making, driving financial performance, and adding commercial value.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Support
- Partner with key stakeholders (finance & non-finance) to drive informed decision-making and manage financial risk.
- Contribute to site and client meetings with a strong focus on commercial growth.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support operational strategy.
- Manage working capital and financial risks, including volumetric and contract mechanisms.
- Performance
- Lead month-end processes, reporting, and balance sheet reviews.
- Deliver and present reports for monthly business reviews, client updates, and budgeting cycles.
- Support budgeting and forecasting with variance analysis and stakeholder presentations.
- Promote working capital improvements through accurate billing and debt management.
- Assist in client tenders, negotiations, and investment appraisals.
- People Management
- Lead and support two finance team members on-site, ensuring their development and day-to-day performance.
- Build strong relationships across teams, ensuring effective collaboration and commercial awareness.
- Foster a culture of health and safety across the team and business.
- Essential:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or QBE with broad financial experience.
- Proven business partnering skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and Excel proficiency.
- Demonstrated commercial finance experience with a track record of adding value.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation.
- Desirable:
- Experience within a multi-site, multi-contract environment.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Cognos.
