As Online Merchandiser, you will take full ownership of our product listings, website experience, and marketplace listings. This role is critical in ensuring our online platforms are optimised for traffic, engagement, and conversion. You will also manage an Ecommerce Associate, who will support across product listings, website updates, marketplace activity, campaign execution and reporting, helping to ensure all ecommerce initiatives are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product listing management: Optimise product listings, including titles, descriptions, and imagery, to maximise visibility, conversion rates, and sales performance. Conduct thorough keyword research to enhance SEO and increase rankings and traffic. Carry out competitor analysis to identify gaps and implement improvements in product presentation. Oversee the launch of new products across our websites and marketplaces. Track and report on changes to key KPIs such as ranking, CTR and CR. Monitor market trends, identifying opportunities to optimise listings, boost traffic, and improve conversion rates.
  • Campaign Management: Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create compelling assets, including banners, product imagery and promotional graphics. Coordinate cross-platform promotions, ensuring consistent messaging and execution across all digital touchpoints. Run promotional offers and sale events, managing setup, testing and deployment. Test and refine campaign elements, such as layouts, call-to-actions and pricing displays to maximise engagement and sales. Use analytics tools to report on campaign performance, identifying successes and areas for improvement.
  • User experience improvements: Lead initiatives to enhance website functionality (such as pre-order, product upsells, bundles), ensuring alignment with business objectives. Implement and manage tools and applications to improve the customer journey ensuring a seamless, user-friendly shopping experience. Conduct A/B testing to refine listings, layouts, and conversion strategies. Utilise analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Crazy Egg to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive data-led improvements.
  • New marketplace launch support: Create detailed briefs for product listings for new marketplaces, including product descriptions and image requirements. Set up and configure product listings for all new marketplaces. Conduct thorough research into new marketplaces, understanding competitor strategies and best practices. Create and maintain launch timelines and checklists, ensuring a smooth rollout for new product listings.
