Overview
Assistant Block Manager – Buckinghamshire – £35k. OPR is seeking an experienced and personable Assistant Block Manager to join our client who has an unrivalled reputation for retaining buildings. Based out of their Buckinghamshire office, this role involves managing a local portfolio with a supportive environment and opportunities for professional growth. Candidates with Property Admin experience looking for their next step will also be considered.
Main Duties
- Support the Block Manager in the day-to-day management of residential and mixed-use developments
- Assist with site inspections and ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with health & safety regulations
- Liaise with residents, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve queries and issues promptly
- Help manage service charge budgets and ensure timely collection of payments
- Assist with coordinating maintenance works, repairs, and regular services (e.g., cleaning, landscaping)
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and property documentation
- Follow up on contractor performance and ensure work is completed to agreed standards
- Help organise and attend residents’ meetings and AGMs, preparing necessary documentation
- Monitor compliance with leasehold terms and take appropriate action where necessary
- Provide administrative support including issuing notices, letters, and updates to residents
About You / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in block management or a similar property management role
- Experience working with a variety of property types and capable of managing demanding clients
- ATPI or similar qualifications are advantageous but not essential – the client can sponsor qualifications
- Must hold a valid driving licence and own a car – mileage is paid
- Confident, organised, and an excellent communicator
- Comfortable working in an office-based role as 3 days per week in the office
