About the Opportunity

We are an expanding bespoke luxury wellness manufacturer scaling our production operations. We are building our shop floor data architecture and production workflows from the ground up and require an experienced, hands on Manufacturing Systems / MRP Contractor to lead the rollout of a modern shop floor tracking setup.

The Project Scope

  • Process & Routing Mapping: Work alongside leadership and workshop staff to map physical build stages and standardise routing sequences across our assembly bays.
  • BOM & Data Structuring: Build baseline Bills of Materials, establish standard component coding, and define estimated labour times per stage.
  • MRP Setup & Configuration: Configure a cloud MRP system (Katana Cloud MRP or MRPeasy) tailored to high mix, custom assembly.
  • Shop-Floor Deployment: Roll out tablet kiosks and barcoded/QR job travellers to enable zero friction operator clock ins.
  • Financial Integration: Correctly map Work in Progress, Raw Materials, Direct Labour Absorption, and COGS accounts into Xero.
  • Team Training: Provide hands on training on the factory floor to ensure complete operational adherence from day one.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven background implementing mid market MRP systems (Katana, MRPeasy, Unleashed, or similar) within physical manufacturing, fabrication, or custom assembly environments.
  • Deep understanding of lean factory flow, physical assembly bottlenecks, and practical stock control.
  • Practical grasp of management accounting and inventory balance sheet integration with Xero.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage directly with trades and operators on the tools.
  • Based in the UK and operating as an independent contractor or consultancy practitioner.
