They are now seeking a skilled Pipefitting Charge Hand to oversee workshop-based operations and contribute to their ongoing success. Key Duties: * Supervise and participate in the fabrication, assembly, and repair of piping systems within the workshop, ensuring all work meets client specifications and industry standards. * Coordinate all workshop activities, ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are used efficiently to meet project deadlines. * Provide day-to-day supervision of workshop operatives, ensuring performance, conduct, and safety standards are upheld. Act as the first-line manager in the supervisor's absence. * Inspect completed work to ensure it meets required standards and specifications, maintaining a focus on precision and excellence. * Enforce workshop health and safety protocols, including regular equipment inspections, adherence to LOLER and PAT testing standards, and maintaining compliance with company procedures. * Work closely with the Workshop Manager and Project Managers to ensure that all deliverables are on schedule and meet client requirements. Requirements: * Strong experience in pipefitting fabrication, assembly, and repair within a workshop environment. * Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs. * Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a workshop team effectively. * Organised and detail-oriented, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship. Qualifications: * Level 3 qualification in Pipefitting or a related trade. * Supervisory qualifications such as SSSTS or ECITB-SMTD/Charge Hand Development (or willingness to work toward). * IOSH Managing Safely certification. * Valid Safety Passport and First Aid certification. * Prior experience in a workshop-based environment, particularly in industrial, petrochemical, or similar sectors.
